It began at home. When my son was five, he held his very own book β a real, printed book with his name on the cover β and stood up at the Dublin library to share it as one of the youngest authors the city had seen. The pride on his face that day, and the joy of reading his own story aloud, became something he treasures. It stayed with him so deeply that at six he came back with a brand-new story to publish β entirely his own idea.
I soon saw it wasn't just him. Reyansh and Aarna lit up the very same way. Every child has a story in them, and holding it as a finished book changes how they see themselves β they're not just a kid anymore, they're an author. That's why I started The Sapling Press: so every child can know what that feels like.
